Eucalyptus leucoxylon
This Eucalyptus leucoxylon spp leucoxlyn (culled) was grown from seed for 30 weeks in an 8 litre RocketPot, then potted up to a 47 litre and grown on for 30 weeks. Peter Lawton dissected the root ball using a compressed air gun. This method allows the radial root array to be checked and the number of active white root tips to be counted.

Eucalyptus sideroxyln
This Eucalyptus sideroxyln was grown from seed for 30 weeks in an 8 litre RocketPot.

The keyhole dissection shows how the radicle grew 180mm to air prune at the RocketPot base, before laterals formed. These are a clearly shown uniformly arranged in array.
